Minka Kelly revealed new details about her character Dove and Alan Ritchson’s Hawk in the upcoming web series “Titans.”

In an Instagram post, Kelly talked about the dynamic between Dove and Hawk, who are not only crime-fighting partners but lovers as well.

“Hawk is the avatar of war,” the 37-year-old actress wrote of Ritchson’s character who also goes by the name Hank Hall. “His powers are of super strength, unlimited stamina, enhanced speed, increased agility, and extreme durability.”

Kelly then added that Dove “suppresses” Hawk’s violent nature, noting that without her his rage becomes boundless. “Dove is the avatar of peace and order,” Kelly continued. “Her powers are enhanced agility, can withstand physical punishment, heal quickly and her perceptions are heightened to their fullest extent.”

Although Dove, aka Dawn Granger, is the avatar of peace, Kelly made it clear that her character is not against violence. “However, in her battles she retains a cooler mind and seeks to find more peaceful solutions as opposed to her partner,” the “Friday Night Lights” alum explained.

Kelly’s post comes with the first-look photo of her and Ritchson as Dove and Hawk. Ritchson shared the same picture on Instagram and gave “major props” to costume designer Laura Jean Shannon and her team who created their superhero suits.

Executive-produced by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, “Titans” follows a group of superheroes in training, assembled by Robin (Brenton Thwaites) who steps out of Batman’s shadow to serve as the team’s leader.

In addition to Kelly, Ritchson and Thwaites, the series also stars “24: Legacy” alum Anna Diop as Koriand’r/Starfire, Australian newcomer Teagan Croft as Raven, “Big Hero 6: The Series” voice actor Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan/Beast Boy, and “The Carrie Diaries” actress Lindsey Gort as Detective Amy Rohrbach.

The release of Dove and Hawk’s first photo comes two weeks after Warner Bros. Television unveiled a picture of Thwaites as Robin. Like Dove and Hawk’s suits, Thwaites’ costume was also designed by Shannon, whose costume designer credits include “Iron Man,” “Blade: Trinity,” and “Black Lightning.”

“Titans” will premiere in 2018 on DC’s yet to be named streaming service.
