Tom Cruise thinks that his daughter, Suri Cruise, is possessed by an "evil spirit," the National Enquirer reported Saturday. The new report comes amid rumors that Cruise and Katie Holmes got divorced because the actress feared she would lose their daughter to Scientology, a religion the “Mission Impossible” star follows.

According to the National Enquirer, Cruise has been “brainwashed into believing an ‘evil spirit’ is controlling his innocent little girl.” The report also claimed that this was the reason “why he [Cruise] hasn’t seen the adorable 10-year-old for nearly a thousand days,” but the actor is now planning to free her daughter of the problem.

“Tom hopes to reconnect with Suri after subjecting her to Scientology’s grueling exorcism-like process of ‘auditing,’” the report's source said, adding that Cruise’s hope is to “clear” his daughter of the “bad” spirit and “bring her back into Scientology as an act of revenge against her mother, his ex-wife Kate Holmes.”

However, Gossip Cop debunked the report saying that Cruise does not believe that his daughter is possessed by "evil spirits."

Cruise's adherence to Scientology has reportedly caused trouble between the actor and his ex-wife. Cruise is reportedly planning to move to the 100-acre Scientology headquarters in the United Kingdom after selling his London house to spread the religion to Europe. Recent renovations at that U.K. estate are reported to be worth $16 million.

The latest report on Suri also comes amid rumors that Holmes and Jamie Foxx have secretly got engaged or married.
