The second trailer for “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” has arrived and it gives fans a glimpse of the magic and adventure in store for “history’s greatest heroes,” including battling dinosaurs and multiheaded serpents as well as figuring out the magic behind the mysterious tablet.

The new trailer is a dense 2:55. To make sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle, here's a rundown of some of the best moments in the “Night at the Museum 3” teaser.

LOL

You’d think, after three movies, doing jokes about a miniature cowboy (Owen Wilson) and a Roman (Steve Coogan) getting along swimmingly would get old. However, the trailer does a great job keeping it fresh and appropriately bonkers. While digesting the latest cat video on YouTube, the duo reveals an “apparatus” they’ve built out of desk supplies that allows them to comment on the video. Further proving that miniature jokes are always fun (like cat videos).

New Museum, New Dangers

Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) is embarking on his biggest journey yet. When he learns that the magic tablet, which has been bringing his museum friends to life, is starting to run out of juice, he takes a few key pals along with him to the Natural History Museum in London. He brings the tablet along with him, which means the historical characters in London come to life for the first time.

“This place is waking up for the first time and we have no idea what’s out there,” Stiller informs his ragtag crew of historical characters. He’s not wrong.

At Your Service

In the second teaser, we’re introduced to two new characters. The first is a living skeleton of a triceratops. The second is Sir Lancelot, who is there to bring the dinosaur down. While the franchise isn't known for action, this trailer seems to show a lot -- after all, why invite the legendary knight to the party if you’re not going to throw him a little swordplay?

A Bittersweet Laugh

It’s impossible not to mention Robin Williams appearing for the last time as Theodore Roosevelt. The actor died earlier this year after completing filming on “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.” His bold presence and perfect comedic timing helped carry the franchise for three films. As we prepare to say goodbye, the trailer gives us a few last laughs, his newest one being his proud yet understated delivery of the line “I think it’s safe to say that we’re in a bit of trouble” after seeing the triceratops charging at the group. RIP Robin.

The Monkey In Charge

The monkey, Dexter, is back and up to no good once again. A new scene shows Daley and Lancelot tracking him with a smartphone through the London museum.

“Do you always put the monkey in charge?” says Lancelot.

“He’s not in charge, we’re just following him,” Daley replies.

“That’s what being in charge means.”

A Callback Joke

Who would have thought a trailer could pack such a deep callback. In one scene, we learn that cats can be distracted by a flashlight. That knowledge comes in handy later when the group is faced with giant stone lions. Nothing Daley’s security-guard-issued torch can’t solve.

Stay!

The first trailer showed a very vaudevillian moment between Ben Stiller and his caveman counterpart. When told to “stay” the Neanderthal just can’t seem to get the concept. However, he seems to pick it up eventually when Daley needs him to keep the London security guard, played by Rebel Wilson, to “stay” in her booth.

“What are you staring at? What have you never seen a gorgeous woman before who could be a model if she didn’t love pizza so much!” she says.

“Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” hits theaters Dec. 19.
