Chief Executive Zev Weiss, other members of the founding Weiss family and related parties raised their offer from $17.18 American Greetings share to $17.50 per share, Reuters reported.
First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN) shares surged 3.21 percent to $10.60 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $7.44, a 52-week high of $10.99 and $2.54 billion in market capitalization.
KBR Inc. (NYSE:KBR) shares advanced 2.76 percent to $31.23 in post-market trading after surging more than 3 percent in regular trading. The company announced Thursday that it was awarded a contract by Cambodian Petrochemical Co. Ltd (CPC) to provide licensing and engineering services for the Veba Combi Cracker (VCC) Unit to be implemented in the Kampong Som Petrochemical Industrial Zone of Cambodia.

The company reported the fourth quarter net profit of $843 million or $1.41 per share, up from $381 million or $0.88 per share in the same period last year but fell short of Reuters’ estimate of $1.60 per share.
