‘Total Divas’ Star Brie Bella Shares Baby Girl’s Name, What’s The Meaning Behind It?

Brie Bella still has some time to prepare for the arrival of her baby girl but that doesn’t mean the pregnant “Total Divas” star hasn’t been thinking ahead. In fact, the WWE wrestler has already come up with an adorable name for her baby girl.

With the help of her husband Bryan, the pair has decided to name their bundle of joy Birdy Joe Danielson. Although the name may sound unusual, the parents put a lot of thought into the name and its meaning.

Think Baby Names, which spells the name as Birdie,but acknowledges it can be spelled as Birdy, reported that the name is of Old German, English and American origin. It means bright, famous little bird and the name is the alternate form of Bertha in German.

Although the origin of the name has a history of its own, Bella had her own reasoning for picking the moniker. “Birdy is because my husband and his whole family are ‘B’s. And he married me, a ‘B’ too, so his one request was that our kids have ‘B’ names. I didn’t realize how hard it was to find girl ‘B’ names, but we both came across Birdy and knew that was it!” she told the April issue of Fit Pregnancy.

The wrestler explained that the baby’s middle name Joe was inspired by her grandfather Joseph who was an important figure in her life.

Fans of Bella will be excited to know that cameras will be there to document her when she gives birth to her baby girl. The wrestler plans on having a natural delivery but is open to modern medicine in the case of a medical emergency.

“I’m going to allow them to document me giving birth and having this little miracle,” Bella explained. “But they won’t be with me and Bryan for a few weeks after the baby’s born. It’s such a special time that I don’t want the cameras interfering. I’m not even interested in being on social media.”

Baby girl Birdy is expected to arrive this spring.
