Toyota Motor Co expects to make 6.5 million vehicles in 2009, down more than 20 percent from last year, according to a report.

The company's output would be lower than the 8.2 million it reached this year, the Chunichi daily reported, according to Reuters.

The output would be the Japanese carmaker's lowest production volume sine 2003 and 2004, the newspaper said.
