The Internet had plenty to say about Kylie Jenner’s controversial “blackface” post over Easter weekend. Although Tyga didn’t think the picture was racist, he thought she could have used more tact, Hollywood Life reported Monday. The rapper essentially chalked up the Instagram message to Jenner being young and immature.

“Tyga feels like Kylie has crossed the line with this new shoot, and really and truly shown her age,” a source told Hollywood Life. “If she was older, wiser and more mature she would never have done something that could be interpreted in a racist way.”

The insider continued: “He obviously doesn’t believe she’s racist, and understands it was art. But, it was insensitive and a little hard to justify. Tyga feels it just shows her immaturity and constant need for attention. He’s not mad angry about it, just thinks she hasn’t thought about what she was doing.”

Jenner did not apologize for the pictures she shared and instead told people the effect was created by a black light and gold sparkles so they should “calm down.”

“Yes, in another world I wish I could have pink hair and blue eyes and covered in sparkles. But in this world I'm happy w the way God created me,” she wrote Sunday. The post received more than 17,000 likes and thousands of shares from her 8.79 million followers.

Though Jenner was quick to issue a statement, none of her famous sisters supported the picture. Instead, the Kardashian-Jenner brood posted about Easter and promoted the family's reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

Tyga, 25, and Jenner, 17, have never confirmed their relationship, but their age gap allegedly causes problems for the pair. The cover of Life & Style claimed she was pregnant and alone with his child. Neither of them responded to the pregnancy rumor.
