Tyra Banks could not help but have tears in her eyes when she saw a photo posted by a fan of hers, promoting the release of her book. Her book Modelland is fictional, but does incoporate Banks' personal encounters as a celebrity.

You forget that people are gonna be excited about (the book) and are gonna read it, she said. That was really touching to see that ... especially for something new. I'm new at this. I've never written a fiction book before and that really touched me, she said according to an AP report.

Modelland is already in stores and it is the first of a young adult series that will we followed by two more parts.

The book is not a mere reflection of the industry, but also includes Banks' own experiences in the business.

It's inspired by my life and experiences in fashion and modeling. My successes as well as a lot of pain I had to go through, says Banks.

It is the story of a teenager named Tookie De La Crème.

That's an audience that I personally am passionate about. I feel like young girls in particular are going through that transition into adulthood and there's a lot of self-doubt, there's a lot of insecurity, there's a lot of self-acceptance issues when they look in the mirror at their reflection and they don't necessarily feel good enough or that they measure up, Banks said.

The supermodel said that film makers are already interested in the book. She was approached by a successful film producer soon after the announcement that she was publishing the book, and Tyra herself would love to produce films one day, the report said.

She said that after the TV thing, the idea of films is pretty amazing.
