This week’s Roster Reveal for “WWE 2K16” has unveiled 22 superstars from the game, and much like last week, it seems like a number of wrestlers from last year’s game will be returning. What is also particularly noteworthy about this week’s Roster Reveal is the amount of legends that have been included in the game, some of who have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

IGN reported the following as part of the roster: Andre the Giant, Batista, Chris Jericho, Curtis Axel, Dean Ambrose, Edge, Eric Rowan, Fandango, JBL, Luke Harper, Natalya, Randy Savage, Rick Rude, R-Truth, Ryback, Santino Marella, Sgt. Slaughter, Stephanie McMahon, The Rock, The Undertaker and The Vaudevillains. Oddly enough, The Vaudevillains, Aiden English and Simon Gotch, were technically revealed last week during the entrance of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. The duo also recently captured the NXT Tag Team championship against Blake and Murphy during the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn event.

As some fans will notice, most of the superstars announced were already in last year’s “WWE 2K15,” though a number of them will have updated attires and hairstyles. Dean Ambrose, for example, is now wearing his solo attire, and Natalya also sports her “Road Warriors” inspired look that she used when managing Tyson Kidd and Cesaro.

The Undertaker also gets an updated look this year, with his regrown hair and new attire that he debuted when taking on Bray Wyatt on “Wrestlemania 31.” Undertaker was a major part of this year’s SummerSlam event, as he and Brock Lesnar fought in the final match of the pay-per-view.

A report from What Culture pointed out that this week’s reveal has a good amount of legends in it, including Hall of Famers like Edge and Randy Savage. It is also worth mentioning that Sgt. Slaughter will be in his American-loving persona this year, as the past two games had him in his Iraqi sympathizer gimmick when he was a bad guy.

While some fans might be disappointed in seeing stars like Santino Marella return to the game, it is clear that 2K Games’ promise of this title having the largest roster ever was not an exaggeration. It should be interesting to see who is revealed next week.

“WWE 2K16” will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 27. Fans will also be able to play as The Terminator if they pre-order the game.
