President Barack Obama said on Thursday that U.S. unemployment was still too high and his administration had to up our game to be more competitive.

Obama was speaking during the inaugural meeting of a panel of U.S. chief executives who he has tasked with coming up with ideas to lift hiring and improve U.S. competitiveness.
