Uniqlo opened its biggest store in the world on Friday, smack in the middle of New York's shopping hub, Fifth Avenue.

On Thursday, Susan Sarandon joined Uniqlo founder Tadashi Yanai for a special opening celebration at the store.

The actress, draped in Uniqlo attire, even took part in a traditional sake ceremony to celebrate the new store.

Like most of its stores around the world, Uniqlo Fifth Avenue is adorned with walls of sweaters, jeans and shirts. The location, spanning some 89,000 square feet, has 100 dressing rooms and 50 cash registers, are reported by CNN on Thursday.

The popular Japanese clothing company isn't stopping at Fifth Avenue. Uniqlo is set to open a location on 34th Street on Oct. 21.

The U.S. expansion joins existing Uniqlo stores around the world, including 790 in Japan alone.

To celebrate the new store opening, Uniqlo is offering a sale of jeans for $9.90 until Oct. 30 (Fifth Avenue location only).

The time has come for you to ignore your fashion needs no longer. Uniqlo's largest flagship is finally open on 5th Ave at 53rd St.! the store's Twitter account wrote on Friday.
