U.S. EPA to make significant climate announcement
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Monday it would make a significant climate announcement at 1:15 p.m. EST (1715 GMT).
The EPA has been expected to issue a final ruling that would allow it to issue rules to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, even if Congress fails to pass legislation to cut U.S. emissions of the heat-trapping gases that contribute to global warming.
