Real U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) rose 3.0 perent in the fourth quarter -- unrevised from its previous estimate, the U.S. Commerce Department announced Thursday.

An upward revised estiamte for business investment in software offset a downward revised estimate for exports, with consumer spending rising 2.1 percent -- unrevised from the earlier estimate.
