Usher Raymond V Hospitalized After Pool Accident: Usher's Oldest Son In ICU

Usher’s son was taken to an Atlanta hospital Monday evening and is in ICU, after having an accident at the singer’s home. Usher Raymond V was with his aunt at his father’s mansion when he saw a toy in the drain while playing in the pool.

According to TMZ, the 5-year-old swam to the drain to retrieve the toy, but his arm then got stuck in the drain. Usher Raymond V’s aunt went down to help him but was not able to remove his hand. When the maid saw what was taking place, she too tried to rescue Usher’s oldest son, but to no avail. Usher was not home at the time.

The maid screamed, alerting two men who were working in Usher’s home. They were able to free Usher Raymond V before he received CPR and was taken to the hospital.

Sources say he took a lot of water in his lungs but should be fine. This is not the first time tragedy has struck Usher’s family. Last July, Kile Glover, his 11-year-old stepson passed away after being hit in the head by a jet ski while floating in his inner tube on a lake in Atlanta.

Last August, Usher gained sole custody of his children Naviyd Ely Raymond and Usher Raymond V, with estranged wife Tameka Raymond, aka Tameka Foster. They married in 2007 and divorced a little more than two years later.
