  • Vanessa Hudgens celebrated Star Wars Day
  • She dressed up as Princess Leia
  • The singer has also been sharing "High School Musical" content

Vanessa Hudgens joined millions of fans around the world in order to celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4. She dressed up as the iconic character Princess Leia that was played by the late Carrie Fisher. She also quoted a popular line of the character Yoda in her social media post.

Fans celebrate Star Wars Day by binge watching the movies of the franchise and dressing up as their favorite characters. Hudgens chose Princess Leia’s look from the original trilogy with her perfect hair buns and a white shirt.

Hudgens shared a beautiful picture of her raising her hand to cup the sun. The photo came out so well that the singer and actress decided to gloat using Yoda’s line “ Try not. Do—or do not. There is no try.” The fans also complimented the star for the post in the comments section.

It is customary to say the words “May the fourth be with you” to mark the occasion. One of the reasons why May 4 is celebrated as Star Wars Day every year is because the phrase sounds a lot like “May the Force be with you,” which is used by the Jedi in the films.

Hudgens used the phrase in another Instagram post. The video she shared online shows her with her Princess Leia look. The singer raised four fingers with bright yellow nail polish to show that she is celebrating May 4.

Playing dress up and trying different outfits are some of the few things that Hudgens and other celebrities like her can do amid this lockdown. The singer has also been posting throwback pictures and videos of her on social media. She recently posted a video of her hilariously trying to do the splash challenge with her friend at a swimming pool.

Hudgens has also been sharing some “High School Musical” content with her fans. She recently sang “Breaking Free” with her friend Max Clayton and posted the video on her YouTube channel.

Clayton and Hudgens had their Broadway musical debut “Gigi” together on TV and have been friends ever since. Clayton also revealed in the video that he got to play Troy Bolton six times in his school’s production of “High School Musical.”
