It's April in New York City, which means another edition of Robert De Niro's beloved Tribeca Film Festival. Now in its 11th year, the festival kicked things off on Wednesday night with a star-studded party hosted by Vanity Fair.

Held at the State Supreme Courthouse in Manhattan, the gala welcomed the faces of festival jurors Dakota Fanning and Leele Sobieski. Fanning, who will have a say in the World Narrative Competition, arrived in a neon pink Lanvin number, complete with a stylish headband, while Sobieski, who will judge in the Best New Narrative Director category, donned a white Jil Sander full-length dress.

Meanwhile, it was couples' night for Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, and Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner. De Niro, who co-founded the festival in 2002, was accompanied by his wife Grace Hightower.

Uptown, festival opener The Five-Year Engagement, starring Emily Blunt and Jason Segel, screened at the legendary Ziegfeld Theater, opening the floodgates for more than 50 world premieres set to take place over 11 days.

Nisha Pahuja's The World Before Her will open the world documentary competition, while Yossi, from Israeli director Eytan Fox, will open the narrative competition.

The 2012 Tribeca Film Festival runs through Apr. 29.
