The Acting Venezuelan ambassador to Kenya has been strangled to death in her official residence, police said.

The body of Olga Fonseca Gimenez was found on Friday.

Gimenez had only served as stand-in ambassador since July 15.

Kenyan police have begun questioning two staff members in the residence.
