Just as all rumors and signals were pointing to a Dec.9 launch for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, CNET.com has released a new report suggesting that the delay will continue.

There are many reasons to believe the phone will come out this Saturday. Not only have many sources leaked emails that have been circulating the Web, but people who got their hands on the phone early have been flaunting them through YouTube demos.

It was only last week that YouTube user, hksscom, posted a video of the phone bearing Verizon's red label and demonstrating speeds peaking at 8Mbps indoors, with only two bars of coverage on Verizon's 4G network.

A member on Android Central posted photos of Verizon exclusive Galaxy Nexus accessories he purchased in a Verizon store. The owner protection package and spare battery charging kit in the photo both had Verizon and Galaxy Nexus logos on them.

If Verizon has started to sell accessories surely that means the phone is coming out soon? Well, apparently not, according to CNET, who claim to have heard from credible sources that the phone will not be coming out on this Friday. Meanwhile, Verizon continue to hold their silence about the release date.

A report published in the Wall Street Journal on Monday says the phone will be out later this month, priced at $299.99, but a specific date was not specified.

Galaxy Nexus fans in the U.S expected a Thanksgiving launch for the Verizon exclusive phone, after it debuted in Europe, but to much disappointment the phone never came. Just two days later the phone miraculously appeared in a Best Buy add with a Nov. 27 release, but that too was a no show.

When the phone is eventually out, it will be the first in the U.S to run the highly anticipated Android Ice Cream Sandwich software. The phone comes with AMOLED 4.65 inch screen with a 720p resolution. Its 8.94mm thinness gives the phone a sleek finish and weighs only 135g. Despite being so slender and light the phone comes with 16.30 GB or 32GB of storage and 1GB of RAM, giving it twice the memory of the iPhone 4S.
