A strenuous, nail-biting affair hasn’t disappointed, with Chelsea leading Tottenham 2-1 at the half of their seminal Premier League match on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge.

Furious back-and-forth play led to impressive goals on both sides, perhaps none more impressive than the opener by Chelsea’s Oscar.

Off a corner, an incredible header from defender Gary Cahill placed the ball in front of the net for Oscar’s goal in the 11th minute of play, and a 1-0 lead for the Blues.

Tottenham’s Emmanuel Adebayor equalized in the 26th with a curling 20-yard strike, flipping a Chelsea attack into a Spurs goal in a matter of 19 seconds.

In the 39th minute, Fernando Torres found a cutting Ramires on the right side, and the Brazilian delivered a fine strike from distance as Chelsea regained the lead. It was Ramires’s fifth Premier League goal of the season.

Chelsea took 10 shots with two on goal, while Tottenham have five shots with two on target.
