Attacking midfielder James Rodriguez helped boost Real Madrid against Real Betis on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu with one of the best goals of his career. Off a set piece from just outside the box in the 39th minute, Rodriguez curled a ball over the leaping Antonio Adan to put Los Blancos up, 2-0.

It was the Colombian's first goal of the season in La Liga. In the second minute of the game, Rodriguez provided an assist with a cross to Gareth Bale, who finished with a header to put Real Madrid ahead.

Rodriguez has been one of the best scorers on the team since he joined Real Madrid in 2014. However, the 24-year-old has only one goal in Champions League.
