He did it again.

Robin van Persie's two goals were the difference at Anfield, as Arsenal edged Liverpool on Saturday in Premier League action, 2-1.

The Dutch striker got started by heading the ball past Pepe Reina in the 31st minute off the cross by Bacary Sagna. Van Persie was aided by some suspect marking by Jamie Carragher, who left the Arsenal star unguarded, to even the match following an own goal by centre back Laurent Koscielny in the 23rd minute.

Van Persie scored the game-winner in stoppage time when Alex Song lobbed the ball to the streaking forward, who delivered a pristine volley to spoil the Reds' afternoon.

Though van Persie's heroics were key to the victory, the Gunners received one of the best goalkeeper moments of the season when Wojciech Szczesny not only blocked Dirk Kuyt's penalty kick but blocked the following effort in the 19th minute.

Liverpool took 12 shots with four on goal, while Arsenal took 10 shots, with seven on goal. The Reds had possession for 54 percent of the match.

Though Arsenal came away with a victory, the club received some bad news when Mikel Arteta left the game on a stretcher after a collision.
