The Dallas Mavericks won a shootout to the Miami Heat in Game Five,112-103, thanks to solid contributions from Dirk Nowitzki, and bench players.

The Mavericks received 29 points from Dirk Nowitzki, but got a big effort from the bench.

J.J. Barea, usually a reserve but inserted again the in the starting lineup, scored 17 points and had five assists. Jason Terry, who has had his struggles in the series, finally had the breakout game Rick Carlisle was hoping for, scoring 21 points on eight-of-12 shooting.

The Heat were limited by a Dwyane Wade hip injury. The star guard got hurt trying to create room for a shot, and went to the locker room. Wade still finished with 23 points to lead Miami.

The Heat also received a triple-double from LeBron James, who scored 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Game Six shifts back to Miami on Sunday night.
