John Cena suffered what appeared to be a broken nose in his match with Seth Rollins on “Monday Night Raw.” The 15-time WWE world champion took a knee to the face during the main event, finishing the match despite the injury.

Cena was briefly treated by WWE doctors to stop the bleeding during the match, as blood began pouring out of his nose when Rollins connected with his face. Cena ended up winning the match, which was for the United States Championship.

Just a few months ago, the wrestler who most recently feuded with Cena suffered the same injury in a match. Kevin Owens broke his nose against CJ Parker in his WWE TV debut at NXT TakeOVER: R Evolution.

Battling through the injury, Cena put on a terrific match with Rollins. Having successfully defended his U.S.Title, he’ll likely go on to challenge Rollins for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam on Aug. 23. The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar will highlight the pay-per-view.

Monday’s match was just one in a number of great matches Cena has had this year. His matches with the likes of Rollins, Owens, Cesaro and Lesnar have been some of the best in WWE in 2015.
