Netflix Inc the world's largest online movie rental service announced today a deal with television maker Vizio that will allow viewers to watch high definition TV through Vizio's new Connected HDTV Platform.

This follows Monday announcement that new LG Electronics Inc TV sets will stream Netflix movies directly from the We without an external device.

Vizio is a visionary company that has quickly become a leading selling brand in North America. We look forward to a strong and growing partnership with Vizio to stream content from Netflix to their expanding line of Internet-connected HDTVs, Reed Hastings, Netflix Chief Executive Officer said in a statement.
