Aspiring model Luo Zilin is reportedly dating Naomi Campbell’s ex-boyfriend, billionaire Vladimir Doronin, which could cause controversy, as Campbell was Zilin’s mentor on the popular reality show "The Face." Campbell, 43, and Doronin, 50, recently split, but it seems he has already moved on to the 25-year-old beauty. Even more surprisingly, Zilin was on Campbell’s team during "The Face" and ended up a runner-up on the show earlier this year. Campbell closely mentored the model, helping her reach the final stages of the competition.
“It's fair to say that Luo and Vlad met through Naomi; it's really unprofessional of Luo, and it's not great behavior on Vlad's behalf,” a source told the DailyMail. Just two weeks ago, Zilin tweeted Campbell, wishing her a happy birthday. Campbell turned 43 May 22.
The Chinese model, who is a former Miss Universe China, and Doronin were spotted kissing and relaxing at a villa on the island of Ibiza over the weekend. In mid-May, it was speculated that Doronin was dating a 23-year-old model from Miami, Jazza Kendrick, who looks very much like Campbell.
It was first reported in the beginning of May that the British supermodel and Doronin were taking a break after being together for five years. Campbell has been busy with her hit reality show and photo shoots with elite publications such as Vogue. The couple was last seen together last month.
“Naomi and Vlad have broken up, and he’s been out partying in New York,” a source told the New York Post.
A second insider continued, “Naomi and Vlad have a complex relationship and sometimes break up and make up. In many ways, their relationship is like a business arrangement. Naomi brings glamor to his hotels and properties, and he treats her extremely well. But they spend a lot of time apart due to work commitments.”
