Vogue has released its list of the top 10 models of 2011. Capturing the coveted title is probably akin to winning an Oscar or a Nobel Peace Prize (relatively speaking, of course).

The iconic magazine's top model of 2011 is none other than Arizona Muse. Muse was one of Anna Wintour's cherished newbies. In last February's letter from the editor, Wintour gave her kudos to the then-unknown Muse. When I look at Arizona, I see shadows of Linda Evangelista and Natalia Vodianova, but most of all I see her, a gorgeous, smart, grown-up. And how could anyone resist someone with that name?

Muse is 23-years-old and is signed with Next Models. With light brown hair and green eyes, she stands at 5-feet, 10-inches tall. But this beauty is more than just a pretty face. This New Mexico-native is also a devoted mother to a young son.

Vogue compiled its top 10 based on a number of different qualifying facets. Fashionista cites that both quality and quantity came into play. A model must have made numerous appearances that year, and the quality of those appearances must have been top-notch. This included only-girl editorials, high caliber photographers and plenty-paged spreads.

Muse was firing on all cylinders in 2011. In January, she was featured on the cover of Vogue Italia, shot by acclaimed photographer Steven Meisel (they call him the supermodel-maker). She walked the Fall 2011 shows for Valentino, Elie Saab and Chanel. In February she opened the Anna Sui and Dolce & Gabbana shows in New York and Milan; and closed for Vera Wang and Versace. She also appeared in campaigns for Louis Vuitton, YSL and Prada.

Now that is some resume. And the models joining the ranks with Arizona are just as accomplished.

Other beauties in the top 10 include Karlie Kloss -- who is one of the biggest new names in fashion at just 19-years-old --, Lara Stone, Joan Smalls and Natasha Poly.
