"The Walking Dead" Season 2
"The Walking Dead" season 2 finale airs on March 18. AMC

The Walking Dead may not be returning to AMC for its third season until October, but that doesn't mean you can't get your zombie fix. AMC is treating fans to a marathon, showing all 19 episodes of the series starting at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 7. Even better than being reunited with the group of survivors, is that the network will be showing behind-the-scenes looks at the upcoming season three.

On Saturday, AMC will be showing 11 episodes, beginning at 11:30 A.M. with Rick emerging from a coma, and ending with an episode at midnight with Glenn knowing too much for his comfort level and Daryl trying to make it back to the farm alive. Sunday's marathon will kick back off at 11:30 A.M. with a repeat of the last two episodes aired the night before, and ending at 7:56 P.M. with the season two finale.

Once the marathon ends on Sunday, July 8 at 9:00 P.M., that's when fans will really want to tune in. A special one-hour episode of The Talking Dead will air following the season finale, giving a preview of season three, along with cast interviews, a tour of the set and news on the show.

TIME reports that Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick will have showrunner Glen Mazzara and Walking Dead graphic novel author Robert Kirkman on the show, along with actress Laurie Holden (Andrea).

After the new episode of The Talking Dead, fans will be in for another treat at 10 P.M. when AMC airs a special viewing of the pilot episode of The Walking Dead in black and white.

As AMC puts it, Lock your doors. Cancel all other plans. This weekend belongs to The Dead.
