‘Walking Dead’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 10 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘The Next World’? [VIDEOS]

Let the countdown of the final seven episodes begin! “The Walking Dead” returned with a bang Sunday night after being on hiatus since November. The midseason premiere of the AMC series was action-packed, and the remaining installments of Season 6 show no signs of slowing down.

To briefly recap episode 9, the Alexandria survivors were able to defeat the horde of walkers and save their town from total destruction. Multiple residents died – Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge), Sam (Major Dodson) and Ron (Austin Abrams) – and Carl (Chandler Riggs) lost an eye, but things appeared to be looking up at the end of the midseason premiere. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) begged Carl to let him make a new world a reality for him, and an unconscious Carl squeezed his hand. However, everyone has a lot of work ahead of them if they want to make Alexandria safe again.

The synopsis for episode 10, titled “The Next World,” reveals that some folks will have to go beyond the wall to scavenge for supplies. They must rebuild the wall on top of restocking food, weapons and medical supplies. Scavenging has never been an easy task, and things certainly won’t go smoothly this time around either. The episode description adds that the survivors are “not the only ones after a goldmine of supplies.”

Who else could the group run into? Daryl (Norman Reedus) blew up a pretty large group of Negan’s men, however, “Walking Dead” fans don’t know how many people this mysterious new villain has working for him. On top of that, it was previously revealed that the Alexandria survivors would be meeting the Hilltop Colony, another group that is featured in the comics.
