Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of “The Walking Dead” season 6 given the new characters that is set to join the hit AMC series. One of the highly anticipated character appearances is that of the villain Negan and Norman Reedus recently shared that his entry will bring turmoil to the upcoming season.

Reedus, who portrays Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead,” shared in an interview with Empire magazine that Negan’s appearance in season 6 will have all the series’ beloved characters fighting for their lives. “There’s going to be a fight. I won’t tell you who, when and where, but I can promise you a fight. All of us are about to clash with that motherf-----. There’s a lot of turmoil in the second half of Season 6,” he said.

It still unclear whether all of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) gang and other Alexandrian survivors will be engaged in the fight with Negan alone, although Cinema Blend stated that could be highly unlikely. The fight which Reedus hinted may refer to an encounter where Rick and other survivors would be in a giant battle against Negan and his band of Saviors. In Robert Kirkman’s “The Walking Dead” comic books, that fight became a fatal and iconic encounter between the two groups. Fans would have to wait until the second half of “The Walking Dead” season 6 is shown to see how that scene is played out in the TV series.

Meanwhile, Morgan who will play Negan in “The Walking Dead,” considers the character as a “game changer” for him. He made the revelation during a recent appearance on the show “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” according to Entertainment Weekly. Apart from sharing his excitement with his new “The Walking Dead” role, he explained that the character Negan was completely different from his previous TV role. “It’s a complete 180 from what I’m doing on The Good Wife, which for an actor is a dream come true. I get to be the biggest a-- in the world,” Morgan explained.

Aside from Morgan’s Negan, another new character set to join “The Walking Dead” season 6 is Paul “Jesus” Monroe to be played by Tom Payne. Showrunner Kirkman revealed in a previous interview that “The Walking Dead’s” Jesus will bring some cool stuff with him when he joins the hit series.

The second half of “The Walking Dead” returns on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, on AMC.
