U.S. stocks fell to a six-week low on Monday as investors worried about the fallout of Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 114.85 points, or 0.95 percent, at 11,929.55. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 15.41 points, or 1.18 percent, at 1,288.87. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was down 31.52 points, or 1.16 percent, at 2,684.09.
