Modern Warfare 2 Season One
Warzone 2.0 comes with new maps, weapons and cosmetics Activision

KEY POINTS

  • Friends can help each other unlock blueprints by sharing weapons in DMZ
  • DMZ Mode has two unique weapon blueprints that players can unlock
  • DMZ Weapon Cases also has other cosmetics like charms and skins

There's a ton of stuff to do in the DMZ game mode in "Warzone 2.0," including hunting down pre-built weapons and cosmetic options for guns, vehicles and operators.

This is done by finding and grabbing the Weapon Case that spawns in one of three locations: the Zaya Observatory, Al Sharim Pass, and the Zarqa Hydroelectric plant. Players need to grab the case and successfully exfiltrate via chopper. However, this is easier said than done since picking the case up marks players for every other squad in the match, making them prime targets for an easy steal.

Only one Weapon Case will spawn per map. This means any other squad that's trying to unlock all of the unique rewards it has will have to hunt it down and make it out of the game alive seven times with the case in their hands. The rewards include:

  • Weapon Blueprint: Caution Tape – Custom RPK LMG
  • Weapon Charm: Gas Gas Gas
  • Weapon Sticker: Biohazard
  • Vehicle Skin: Jungle Incognito
  • Calling Card and Emblem: Weapon Crate
  • Operator Skin: Biohazard (König)

How to Unlock Any Weapon Blueprint in 'Warzone 2'

There's a simple trick involving the DMZ mode that lets players get a copy of any blueprint weapon in the game, including battle pass guns and the M13B assault rifle that drops exclusively from The Chemist. This requires two people—a recipient and one player who has already unlocked the desired blueprints.

For those who don't know, exfiltrating with any weapon in DMZ will automatically unlock said weapon for the player's main account across all three game modes, regardless of whether or not it's a contraband item. This applies to blueprint weapons.

Load into a match and have the second person drop the gun they have, then immediately extract from the match. Depending on spawn location, this process can take no more than a few minutes. However, if other players get involved, things can get dicey.

Also, the player who owns the blueprint weapon will have to give up an Insured Slot since dropping weapons counts as losing them. The default cooldown for insured guns is 120 minutes.
