After a number of rants during concerts in November and canceling the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour, Kanye West found himself in the hospital for eight days for mental health issues. The rapper is now out and reportedly doing better, but rapper Rick Ross claims it may have all been an act.

In a video clip uploaded to Twitter, Rick Ross, who was in New York City for an appearance, made an interesting comment about the “Life of Pablo” rapper. “One time for Yeezy,” Ross told the crowd. “My homie a genius. For everybody who thought he was wigging out, he played y’all.”

Rick Ross has collaborated with Kanye in the past, so he could possibly have some inside information on Yeezy. However, what makes Ross’ comments even more interesting is that he was standing next Mike Dean, a frequent collaborator of Kanye. As Ross made his comments, Dean appeared to be laughing.

On Dec. 8, TMZ reported that Kanye was back in the studio and recording new music. The website stated the “Famous” rapper had built a makeshift studio in his Bel-Air, California home and had enough new music for a whole album.

Following the report, footage of Kanye and legendary hip-hop producer, Pete Rock, working together emerged. The videos were uploaded by Pete Rock to his private Instagram account but were captured by other people. In one caption for a video, Pete Rock wrote, “Playing 45s in da lab with Kanye West.”

Another clip shared by the hip-hop producer featured a piece of paper with what appeared to be the tracklist for an album. While no project title could be seen on the paper, the alleged tracklist featured 14 titles named after video games. Some of the games included “Pikmin 2,” “Okami,” “No More Heroes 2” and “Resident Evil.”
