Marvel President Kevin Feige has plans to incorporate the “Ant-Man” character the Wasp/Janet Van Dyne in other upcoming Marvel films. The 42-year-old film producer spoke about the future plans for the character during the film’s media event.

“We have plans for her in the future, and we see that not-so-subtly in this film ['Ant-Man'],” he said, as Comicbook reported. The Wasp reportedly will be seen in flashback sequences in “Ant-Man,” which opens in theaters July 17. The character is the daughter of Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas. “She factors in a number of spoiler-ish ways,” Feige told MTV. “But we will see Janet van Dyne in action in this film, and sort of what happened to her.”

In the comics, Van Dyne turns into the Wasp to avenge the death of her father. She has the ability to fly and generate bioelectric energy stings. She is the founding member of Avengers and a longtime leader of the team. Her costume consists of a black and yellow dress and yellow antenna like headpiece. She wears black and yellow gloves, black leggings and yellow boots.

It is not known which actress will play the character in “Ant-Man” -- and her identity may remain a mystery. According to Feige, “we only see Janet, she’s in the helmet. She’s in the outfit, so you just sort of see eyes," reported Cinema Blend. Though Feige did not reveal which other films will feature the Wasp, there is speculation that she may also be seen in “Captain America: Civil War” as Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man is already making an appearance in that film as well.

“Ant-Man” opens July 17. Peyton Reed has directed the film from a screenplay by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Adam McKay and Rudd. The other cast members of the film include Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip "T.I." Harris, Wood Harris, Judy Greer and David Dastmalchian.
