Watch Demi Lovato's video message to fans

Disney star Demi Lovato released a video message to her fans today. The singer, who was recently released from a treatment center, thanked her fans for the support they showed her during the darkest time in her life.

In the video she tells her fans that she is back home and that she probably wouldn't be here today without her fans.

I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls my age ... but of all ages ... are dealing with, the 18-year-old singer said in the video.

Lovato checked into a treatment facility in October 2010 after punching a backup dancer in the face on a private jet while on tour with the Jonas Brothers.

She checked into the facility to take care of emotional and physical issues.

Lovato did not say anything too specific about her affliction, but said, I hope to one day raise awareness of everything so I can help people too.
