Kansas Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters lost his cool in the fourth quarter. And then a referee lost a penalty flag.

In a road game against the New York Jets, Peters was frustrated by a holding call in the end zone on the Chiefs' secondary. After the play, he took the yellow flag on the field and threw it into the MetLife Stadium crowd. Peters was immediately flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The Jets would ultimately score a touchdown on the drive and then convert a two-point convergence.

In a bizarre situation, it appeared that Peters had been ejected. But head coach Andy Reid seemed to signal to get Peters to return to the field after heading into the tunnel.

The Chiefs failed to score on the following drive. The Jets won the game, 38-31.
