A Florida woman is facing a felony animal cruelty charge after she allegedly drove over a duck because it didn’t want to eat her candy.

Karie Lindgren, 36, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., was arrested over the weekend and held on $50,000 bail following the Saturday incident, Tarpon Springs police told the Tampa Tribune. She faces one count of felony animal cruelty, according to the paper.

Lindgren allegedly tried to lure the duck using a piece of candy around 5:45 p.m. Saturday. When the duck wasn’t interested in the candy, she allegedly drove her vehicle over the duck “at a high rate of speed,” the Tribune reported, citing a police report of the incident. A witness told police that the 36-year-old Florida woman “stalked the duck,” according to the report.
