“The Walking Dead” might have ended its seventh season on AMC recently, but the zombies will be back in its spin-off, “Fear The Walking Dead.” The network released four new photos of the horror series that is set to premiere Season 3 with two back-to-back episodes on Sunday, June 4 at 9 p.m. EDT.

New images show a toughened Ofelia (Mercedes Manson) dressed to kill and posing in front of a truck filled with guns and bullets. This is definitely a significant change for the character who was once deeply disturbed by the things her father did in his past. Ofelia is showing no mercy.

New images also show Victor Strand (Colman Domingo), a worried Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and a new group of characters known as the Otto family.

According to the Season 3 synopsis, the Otto family are founders of a survivalist organization who were prepared for the fall of democracy but certainly didn’t anticipate the rise of the dead. Dayton Callie, Daniel Sharman and Sam Underwood have been cast as members of this survivalist organization.

Season 3 picks up right where the action left in the Mexico-U.S. border. International lines are now erased as the world’s landscape changes with the rise of the dead. The characters in the AMC series now not only have to rebuild society but also their family.

Madison (Kim Dickens) is happy to reconnect with her partner Travis (Cliff Curtis) but her daughter Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) is fractured after killing Andres. Meanwhile, her son Nick (Frank Dillane) is only a few miles away from her but his life hangs in the balance when an American militia group assaults him. Nick’s lover, Luciana (Danay Garcia), was shot in the season finale. Although she isn’t dead yet, the couple have to find a way out.

Back at the hotel, Strand is determined to harness the world’s new currency.

Ofelia, on the other hand, is still being held captive by the same militia group. She will have to muster the savagery of her father if she wants to survive.

“Fear The Walking Dead” returns on June 4 at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
