Girl Meets World
Topanga (Danielle Fishel) and Cory (Ben Savage) will receive a blast from their past when an old teacher returns in "Girl Meets World" Season 2. Disney

“Boy Meets World” fans always talk about beloved teacher Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), but he wasn’t the only person to work at John Adams high school. Cory (Ben Savage), Shawn (Rider Strong) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) had another adult figure to look up to in the classroom – Mr. Turner (Anthony Tyler Quinn).

Viewers will remember Turner as Cory, Shawn and Topanga’s hip, young homeroom teacher. He rode a motorcycle and even let Shawn live with him when his dad ran off. Although he sometimes butted heads with Mr. Feeny, he always had the best interests of his students at heart.

In one of the most emotional scenes of “Boy Meets World,” Turner was in a bad motorcycle accident that left him in the hospital. The Season 4 episode found Shawn struggling to deal with life after high school. In order to avoid facing the future, a fellow student convinced him to join a cult. Shortly after, Turner was involved in an accident, and Shawn was forced to face reality. He visited his friend and parental figure at the hospital and found him in a full body cast.

“Don’t blow me off, God,” Shawn said in the tear jerking episode. “I never asked you for anything before and I never wanted to come to you like this, but don’t take Turner away from me; he’s not done yelling at me yet.”

The episode ended with Mr. Turner moving his fingers, but “Boy Meets World” viewers never saw him again. Fans have always wondered about what happened to Mr. Turner – and they’ll finally get an answer in Season 2 of the Disney spinoff series, “Girl Meets World”!

Anthony Tyler Quinn and “Girl Meets World” writers confirmed the exciting news on Twitter. But the return of Mr. Turner has been something that’s been in progress for quite some time. “Boy Meets World” creator Michael Jacobs previously revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he wanted fans to learn what happened to the teacher.

“[Quinn] was one of the first people who got in touch with me after [‘Girl Meets World’] was announced,” Jacobs explained. “And what it made me realize is not only does the audience, but the people who were on the show have a fondness for [the show].”

Quinn will be reprising his role in the upcoming episode “Girl Meets New Teacher.” Check out the tweets below:
