Jennifer Morrison’s starring role on “Once Upon a Time” has come to an end, but it’s far from the conclusion of her career. Following her five-year stint on the ABC fantasy series playing Emma Swan the Savior, Morrison has several projects in the que.

While ABC viewers won’t see Morrison reprise her role on “Once” in Season 7, they will get to see her in a new drama. Morrison is listed as a cast member in director Collin Schiffli’s film “All Creatures Here Below.” The movie stars a couple on the run seeking refuge in Kansas City and is currently in post-production.

Fans looking to catch a real glimpse of Morrison can see her live in the play “The End of Longing.” Morrison acts opposite Matthew Perry in the New York production, which is running through June 24.

Post “Once” Morrison has been busy filming the dramatic thriller “Back Roads,” which is based off the novel by Tawny O’Dell. The film center on a man who falls in love with a married mother of two while stranded in Pennsylvania and caring for his younger sisters following his own family drama. The movie marks “Magic Mike” actor Alex Pettyfer’s directorial debut and he also stars in the lead role. Morrison plays his love interest.

“Altmyer’s life takes a dangerous turn when he develops a relationship with a married mother of two and a series of staggering family secrets threatens to consume him. Eventually he finds himself the leading suspect in a local murder,” Variety reported of the film’s plot.

It won’t be all drama or on-screen work for Morrison, however. The Chicago native recently wrapped her directorial debut with comedy “Sun Dogs” starring Allison Janney, Melissa Benoist, Michael Angarano and Ed O’Neil. The movie, a product of her production company Apartment 3C Productions, follows a misfit (Angarano) who attempts to protect his country after being denied entrance into the military.

Morrison announced her production company in April 2016 and revealed she was excited about the prospect of doing behind-the-scenes work.

“Apartment 3C productions was created with the vision of utilizing the experience I have harnessed from working alongside talented directors and visionaries for the last 20 years and crafting my own voice as a storyteller across all mediums,” Morrison said, according to Deadline. “My desire is to build a trusted team of actors, writers, directors, and artists who desire to work and create together in different capacities in order to flourish artistically in a variety of genres.”

Morrison announced her departure from “Once Upon a Time” ahead of the Season 6 premiere last week on ABC. “After careful consideration, I have decided that creatively and personally, it is time for me to move on,” Morrison wrote on Instagram. While the actress said she was invited back by showrunners to be a series regular in Season 7, she needed to pursue other “creative endeavors.”

“I will continue to attend the fan conventions whenever my professional schedule allows. I always look forward meeting the fans,” she wrote, calling her character Emma Swan a “favorite” of hers. “I have agreed to appear in one episode, and I will most certainly continue to watch ‘Once Upon a Time.’ The creativity of the show runners has always inspired me, and I cannot wait to see the ways that they continue to develop and reinvent the show.”
