The “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailer will debut Thursday. Marvel

Spider-Man made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in “Captain America: Civil War,” and he’ll be back in 2017 with his own blockbuster. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” will hit theaters this summer, and Marvel announced that first trailer is debuting on a late night talk show.

On Wednesday morning, Marvel used Twitter to reveal that the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailer will debut on Thursday. Fans should tune into “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” at 11:35 p.m. EST on ABC to be the first to see the promo video.

Along with the announcement, Marvel released 17 seconds of footage (seen above). The clip shows Spider-Man (Tom Holland) messing with some sort of camera. He sees Iron Man’s friend Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), who reveals that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has given Spider-Man another new suit. A quick clip reveals web wings on the outfit.

This is the first time that the web wings have made it into a movie, but they aren’t actually new. They’re a nod to Steve Ditko’s original illustrations for the Marvel comics.

Including his homemade version and the suit Tony gave Peter in “Civil War,” this marks the third Spider-Man suit for the teenage hero. However, actor Tom Holland has had significantly more. He was a big fan well before this role came along. “I reckon I had 30 Spiderman costumes over the years since I was a little baby,” he revealed to the Hollywood Reporter last month. “I had Spiderman bed sheets. Two years ago, I went to a fancy dress party dressed as Spiderman and looked like an absolute idiot.”

Though not much footage has been revealed yet, plenty of information has come out. Spidey will be facing multiple villains in “Homecoming.” Vulture (Michael Keaton) and Tinkerer (Michael Chernus) are both confirmed to appear. Shocker is also rumored to be in the film.

Zendaya, Hannibal Buress, Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori and Tyne Daly also star. Jon Watts directed the flick, which is a co-production between Marvel Studios and Sony. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” hits theaters July 7, 2017.
