‘Lucifer’
How will Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) react when he finds out the truth about Chloe (Lauren German) in “Lucifer” Season 2, episode 11? FOX

“Lucifer” Season 2 did not air a new episode on Monday, Dec. 5 because the show has gone on a short winter hiatus.

When the series returns to FOX in January, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker’s (Lauren German) relationship will once again be put to the test. In Season 2, episode 10, Lucifer and Chloe almost kissed. Prior to this special moment, Lucifer’s mom Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) first tried to get rid of her. However, when Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) tried to talk her out of killing Chloe, Charlotte realized that the detective is no ordinary human being.

Several years ago, a childless couple prayed to God to give them a child. God, who happens to be Lucifer and Amenadiel’s father, sent the latter to Earth to grant the couple’s prayer. In “Quid Pro Ho,” Amenadiel and Charlotte realized that the young girl and Chloe are the same person. Additionally, Amenadiel speculated that Chloe was sent to Earth to put Lucifer to the test.

Meanwhile, the teaser for Season 2, episode 11 opens with Charlotte divulging information about Chloe to Lucifer and Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) separately. While talking to the latter, Charlotte made a face when she called Chloe a miracle baby. The clip also showed Charlotte talking to Chloe about her closeness with Lucifer. The former tells the detective that Lucifer is different whenever he’s with her.

By the looks of it, Charlotte will try to get close to Chloe so she could help encourage Lucifer to return to Hell. However, it is unclear whether or not Charlotte’s plan will materialize since in the previous episode, Lucifer said that he feels that Earth, and not Hell, is his real home.

“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 11 will air on FOX on Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. EST.
