Caroline Flack first came into the spotlight nearly four years ago when she signed on to host “The Xtra Factor." Unfortunately, it wasn’t her new gig on the popular show that most people were talking about.

At the time, Flack was dating One Direction frontman Harry Styles, then 17. Looking back, Flack, now 35, admitted to the Daily Telegraph that the relationship was “quite strange.” She has since been able to break away from her image as Styles’ former girlfriend, forging a career and a following of her own.

Most recently, Flack made headlines when the public learned that she would be returning to "X Factor UK" and appearing on “Strictly Come Dancing." She and partner Pasha Kovalev are slated to perform after winning last season. The show is one of the biggest competitors of “X Factor UK,” which she co-hosts alongside Olly Murs.

So who exactly is Caroline Flack? Here are seven fast facts:

1. She grew up in a small town in England.

Caroline was born in Thetford, England, a small market town in Norfolk.

2. She has three siblings.

Flack has two sisters, Jody and Elizabeth Flack, and one brother, Paul Flack. Caroline and Jody are twins, though she previously said they "have completely different lives."

3. Flack recently got a tattoo for her cat, Waffle.

While away from home for work, Caroline recently decided to get a tattoo for her beloved cat, Waffle. She shared a photo of a mini version of the animal's paw print inked behind her ear writing, "tattoo 4 waffle."

4. Her career officially began in 2002.

Flack started out playing a character named Bubbles on “Bo’ Selecta!” From there she was able to land bigger jobs hosting “The International Pepsi Chart Show,” “The Games: Live at Trackside,” “The Xtra Factor,” and more.

5. Harry Styles isn’t the only star she’s dated.

Flack ended her relationship with Jack Street, the producer credited with launching Sam Smith and Disclosure’s careers, in December 2014. She also recently admitted that she briefly considered dating her “X Factor” co-host Olly Murs.

6. Flack does not regret dating Styles.

The television presenter recently said she was “not going to ever apologize” for dating the One Direction singer. The relationship garnered controversy as he is 14 years younger than her.

7. In addition to appearing on “Strictly Come Dancing” and hosting “X Factor,” Caroline will host “Love Island.”

ITV announced their plans to revamp “Love Island” on Jan. 14, shortly after Flack revealed that she would be hosting the series.
