Courteney Cox and her “Cougar Town” co-star are officially more than just “Friends.” According to reports, the 49-year-old actress turned her onscreen ex-husband, played by actor Brian Van Holt, 43, into her real-life boyfriend.

While Cox has yet to personally confirm the reports, an anonymous source revealed that the co-stars are officially an item. “They’ve been going out for months,” the source told Us Weekly Wednesday. The acting twosome were first rumored to be seeing one another after a witnesses claimed to have spotted them dining at Chi Lin in West Hollywood last July. Cox’s 9-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette, has reportedly embraced Van Holt, one insider claiming the child treated the actor like a “dad or an uncle” while visiting the “Cougar Town” set last fall.

Earlier this month, the two were spotted leaving a party at Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif., where a large group of celebrities was in attendance to celebrate Cox’s 49th birthday. Friends on hand included “Now You See Me” star Isla Fisher and Laura Dern of “Jurassic Park” fame.

Cox was previously linked to another “Cougar Town” castmate, 42-year-old actor Josh Hopkins, after they were seen embracing at Los Angeles International Airport in July 2012 following a vacation in the Bahamas together. According to the Daily Mail, another star of the TBS show, Dan Byrd, also joined the duo on the tropical trip.

Cox was married to "Scream 4" star David Arquette for 12 years. The couple announced their split in October 2010, and the divorce was finalized in June 2012, according to TMZ.
