Amal and George Clooney are basking in the joy of being new parents and they’re not alone. The “Ocean’s Eleven” actor’s father, Nick Clooney, is one proud grandpa.

Speaking with Cincinnati, Ohio's WXIX News, the elder Clooney revealed that he and wife Nina Warren got a glimpse of Alexander and Ella Clooney via video chat on Tuesday. Nick called Amal and George’s twins “beautiful,” referring to the human rights attorney as “superwoman.” As for which of the new parents the twins most resemble, Warren seems to see a lot of George in them — especially Alexander.

“They are gorgeous. Nina swears they have George’s nose,” the two-time Oscar award winner’s dad said(via Us Weekly). “Not both of them, one of them. The little boy looked like he had [George’s] nose. His little profile.”

That’s not all Nick had to say. He told anchor Tricia Macke he was a huge fan of the names Amal and George chose for their children. In fact, Nick feels they “sound terrific.”

“I love their names Alexander and Ella,” he gushed. “Both sound terrific...They look great, and both George and Amal are doing wonderfully well. Amal is doing terrifically well.”

Friends of the couple are equally excited for them. A number of A-listers took to Twitter to congratulate Amal and her hubby on the birth of their first children. Ellen DeGeneres, Holly Robinson Peete and Cindy Crawford are just a few of the stars who sent their regards.

The couple announced the birth of twins Alexander and Ella via a statement from their rep. ET Online confirmed that Amal and the children were doing well, though their spokesperson joked that George “is sedated.” While no photo of the twins was released, the rep revealed their names in the same statement, which delighted fans.

“This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine,” the statement red. “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.”

Days before going into labor, Amal and George were visited by close friend Barack Obama. The former president popped in at their English mansion on May 27 according to People. He stayed for several hours, leaving later that night.

In April, reports surfaced suggesting that Amal and George, who live rather private lives, were planning on welcoming their twins in London. Sources told E! Online the couple want to raise their children across the pond for at least their early years. Amal reportedly plans to keep a low profile after giving birth.

Although neither Amal nor George make a habit of sharing many aspects of their private lives with the public, the actor’s been open about becoming a father. In March, he told Extra his wife was “doing really great” while pregnant. He claimed to be doing his best to help when possible, though his options were limited.

“She is doing really great,” George said. “She is amazing. I don’t have anything to do. There is nothing I can do to help, but make tea and stuff.”

In a previous interview, he got real about how hard it is to nail down a baby name, let alone two. George told E! that it’s especially hard to choose a name when you start seeking outside opinions. He joked that while they may go to friends for ideas, they wouldn’t be asking their parents for advice — and for good reason.

“Because I’ve had friends pick out names around their parents and it becomes...whatever name you pick they’re like, ‘Oh, I don’t like that. That guy’s a prime minister...Can’t name her Susan. You remember Aunt Susan?’” he explained.
