Google released its list of the most searched people of 2013 on Tuesday, and not surprisingly, Miley Cyrus received the coveted No. 1 spot. From twerking to sticking her tongue out, to making music videos in the nude, the 20-year-old has certainly given people something to talk about. Not only is she the most searched person this year, she also was near the top of Time’s list of Person of the Year. Her controversial image has shocked those who watched her in her Disney “Hannah Montana” days, but Cyrus could care less.
"The biggest thing people say to me is that ‘I love that you don't care what people think' because I don't, but in the best way possible," she explains. "Of course I want people to love my music, but at the end of the day I make music for me. I make music because I love it and I know that I put good energy into it, so it'll be all good,” she told E! earlier this year.
Drake trailed behind Cyrus at No. 2, probably thanks to his third studio album, which was released in September. “Nothing Was The Same” has six successful singles, including “Started From the Bottom,” and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after selling 658,00 copies its first week of release.
