Our favorite rapper-singer Drake has finally revealed a few secrets regarding his love life. Although many of his songs would lead you to believe differently, the talented artist has had actually had success in wooing some of the most well-known women in Hollywood -- at least for one date.
On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Friday, the syndicated talk-show host got the Grammy Award winner born Aubrey Drake Graham to open up a bit about a few of the women he has been rumored to have dated, as shown in this video at YouTube.
Drake -- who mentioned he is currently single -- dished the details of several past flings as part of DeGeneres’ game meant to enable people to get to know the star a little better. We’ve gathered five ladies, encompassing Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian, to whom Drake has been linked and the truths behind their rumored romances.
Drake and Rihanna have frequently been linked for several years now, so it is one of his best-known romances. They made quite the cute couple not only in Rihanna’s “What’s My Name?” video but also in Drake’s “Take Care” video. Although Rihanna didn’t appear too enthused with Drake’s performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards show, the rapper-singer told DeGeneres that the pair -- at one time -- did have a relationship that was more than platonic. “Great girl. We had our moment, and [I] always support and have love for her,” he said on the show.
There has always been a bizarre, slightly awkward vibe between Drake and Minaj, but the star revealed that there was absolutely nothing happening there. Saying the former “American Idol” judge was “like family,” Drake shot down any possibility they were anything more than just good friends. “I love Nicki with all my heart. We haven’t really shared, like, intimate moments,” he said.
Drake hasn’t kept his love life focused on musicians only. He revealed that actress Kat Dennings was a one-time romantic interest. Sharing that he’d had a crush on the “2 Broke Girls” star for a long time, he also shared that their time together was exceptionally brief. “I just always had a huge crush on Kat Dennings, and she was kind enough one night to oblige me and we went out for dinner,” he said.
For those of you who thought Drake’s rumored romance with Tyra Banks was all talk, it appears you’re partly right, partly wrong. According to Drake, the two actually did go on a minidate of sorts to Disneyland. It seems like a disgustingly adorable start of something special, but the singer said it fizzled after that outing: Are you sensing the pattern? Still, he can always say he dated one of the world’s most beautiful women, an acceptable consolation for a broken heart. “I went on a date with her one time, yeah. It was just one date. We went to Disneyland in disguise, actually, which was fun,” he told DeGeneres.
No need for any confusion on this one. Drake wasted no time with his response to this rumor. “No, no, no,” he said.
