Who is Wendi Deng Murdoch?

The woman who sprung to the defense of Rupert Murdoch during an attempted assault at a Parliamentary committee hearing was his wife, Wendi Deng Murdoch.

Born in 1968 in China, Wendi met Murdoch in 1997 in Hong Kong. They married two years later, soon after he divorced Anna Maria Torv Murdoch.

It was also the second marriage for Wendi.

Wendi and Rupert have two children: Grace Helen Murdoch and Chloe Murdoch.

Wendi is 37 years younger than her husband.
