Chase McNary may no longer be in the running to win JoJo Fletcher’s heart but he’s not done looking for love just yet.

Entertainment Tonight reports the Denver, Colorado, native is considering making the switch from Season 12 contestant to star of Season 20’s “The Bachelor.” After being cut from “The Bachelorette” Monday night, Chase admitted to the outlet that he has been discussing the idea with ABC. He does, however, have reservations about moving forward with the show. Luke Pell, who also lost the race for JoJo’s heart, is also reportedly being considered.

“There [are] a lot of expectations, and I’m not scared of it...but I definitely want to make the smart decision and the right decision before I totally accept that position,” Chase said.

The medical sales rep’s admission that he had been approached about becoming “The Bachelor” comes amid rumors that Jordan Rodgers — the controversial cast member many believe to be the front-runner on Season 12 of “The Bachelorette” — is out to get the spot. Sources told Us Weekly that after being cut from the Miami Dolphins in 2014, Jordan began seeking new ways to become famous. The publication reports that he was “desperately” seeking fame and found an easy in with “The Bachelorette.” He did not, however, account for potentially winning the series.

“He knew football wasn’t going to work out,” a source told Us. “And he wants to be famous desperately.”

Jordan’s reason for being on “The Bachelorette” has been called into questions several times since Season 12 began. On June 23, the California native addressed allegations he was active on a dating site while appearing on the show. Jordan took to Twitter to assure fans that rumors regarding his Raya account were “completely false.” He outlined his use of the site, telling followers that he had not logged into Raya since filming for “The Bachelorette” began and was deactivated several months later when the show concluded.

Despite all of that, many believe that Jordan will be the one to receive JoJo’s final rose. A sneak preview for the finale shows the star crying while trying to choose between the last two men. She makes a comment during the scene that has many viewers feeling certain that Jordan is her top pick, but it seems there is something standing in her way.

“I fell in love with you,” she says. “And I still love you, but what you did to me...it’s not right. But I wanted you to know it’s really hard for me not to accept this love.”

Tune in to ABC Monday’s at 8 p.m. EDT for more “The Bachelorette.” The network has yet to announce when “The Bachelor” will return.
