The 2017 World Economic Forum has officially begun. About 3,000 people were expected to arrive this week in the Swiss Alps region of Davos, Switzerland, to discuss matters like financial markets and automation, Fortune reported.

The forum, which kicked off Monday evening, will host some of the world’s most significant leaders, philanthropists, academics and CEOs in the world. This year, attendees will include Vice President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and J.P. Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, among others.

“The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas,” the site describes the prestigious, high-profile gathering.

There will be nearly 400 events taking place at Davos 2017 and the forum will run through Friday. Daily live streams of the events will be available on the World Economic Forum website, as well as on through services live the Apple Store, Google Play and Roku.

The events are hosted in a number of languages, including Chinese, German, French and Spanish. The forum was first founded by an economics professor by the name of Klaus Schwab, according to the New York Times. The event was founded in 1971 and was created as a hub for European businessman and leaders to gather. The premise of the conference eventually shifted to include social and global economic issues, which would draw world leaders and businessmen from around the globe.

Xi helped kick off the event Tuesday with a speech on global trade.

"No one will emerge as a winner in a trade war. Pursuing protectionism is just like locking one's self in a dark room: wind and rain might be kept outside but so are light and air," he said.
