The National League Championship Series gets underway on Saturday night at Dodger Stadium, when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the defending champion Chicago Cubs in Game 1 of the best-of-seven series. The Dodgers are favored to win Game 1, the NLCS and also the World Series.

Dave Roberts' squad, which won 104 games and have home-field advantage for the postseason, have 2/1 odds to win the World Series. In Game 1, the Dodgers have -205 odds of winning, while the Cubs have +175, according to betting site Bovada. The over/under is seven runs.

The Dodgers open the series with Clayton Kershaw, who last pitched on Oct. 7, while Joe Maddon goes with Jose Quintana, who threw 12 pitches in relief on Thursday in the Cubs' 9-8 win over the Washington Nationals.

The Dodgers have not won a World Series since 1988. This is the 11th time the Dodgers have reached the postseason since 1995.

In the American League, the Houston Astros jumped out to a 1-0 series lead on the New York Yankees. On Friday night, the Astros defeated the Yankees, 2-1, at Minute Maid Park in Houston. The two teams meet in Game 2 on Saturday afternoon in Houston with Luis Severino on the mound for New York and Justin Verlander pitching for Houston.

The Astros have 9/4 odds to win the World Series. Houston has never won a World Series and has only reached the title series once, in 2005, when they were swept by the Chicago White Sox.

The Cubs and Yankees both have 4/1 odds to win the World Series.
